Kate Ling is a freelance graphic designer and an art director. She specialized in branding design, creating mobile ad campaigns, paid social media campaigns and social content creation. She had the pleasure to worked on accounts like Godiva, Noxzema, Nutella, BFGoodrich Tires, Lycra, Microsoft Lumia, Amazon, Kindle, Audible, Reuters TV, Skype, American Museum of Natural History, Kiehl's, Lancome, Charles Schwab, Sony, Regeneron, Sanofi-Genzyme, The US FDA, Mediacom, Univision, and more.
She was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and moved to NYC in 2009 to learn design and advertising. Growing up, she tried really hard to go against the idea of an Asian girl who excels in science and math. She is one of those students who doodled mustaches on historical figures in history textbooks. She gets really nerdy and passionate when it comes to typography and hand-lettering. She also volunteers at the animal shelter every week and loves to travel solo. She also recently completed a User Experience Design course at the New York Code + Design Academy.
With her background in photography, design, and user experience, paired with a strong passion for cooking, crafting and making things with her hands, she understands the value that human touch adds to digital design and print. This deeper knowledge of design has allowed her to find innovative ways to create highly relatable digital content for all audiences.
